i got the same set up for my hatchlings. you can put any cummunity (peaceful) fish in there with them like guppies, mollies, tetras, etc.
The wife and I recently bought 2 Red Ear Slider hatchlings (Crush & Slash). We were keeping them in a small plastic container with some gravel and a turtle dock. However, after having to clean it out every other day and noticing the lack of space, I decided to upgrade. I went out yesterday and purchased a 10gal. Tank, a basking rock/filter combo, and a couple of plastic plants. I believe they enjoy it a lot more, considering they have a lot more room to swim around in. Now my question is, are there any fish that can be placed in there with them, or other animal? I have this huge tank for 2 turtles that are barley an inch long, just seems like a lot of wasted space...
Also on that note... Slash gave me quite a scare this morning. I woke up and went to check on them when I notice he's missing. I look everywhere for him and can't find him. Well, it turns out he was somehow able to swin behind the filter rock and climb inside the filter . Luckly we were able to get him out and he's ok, but now I'll have to reposition everything so he can't do that again...

I was about to ask what is a turlte....
I used to have them for the kids, but I would rather see them in their natural habitat, specially the sea ones....

Not that I mind if they do, I just don't want to go out and buy expensive fish if they're just going to get eaten...
Does this count...

Red ears are pretty hard to put with many other things as they like to attack and eat just about everything.
Some times a turtle will not eat all the fish you put in with it, however I would buy some 25cent feeder fish so that IF they do get eaten you are not out alot of $$. I have had soft shells, snappers and box turtles. As long as you keep the tank clean and the water fresh you should have some pretty happy turtles.
Yeah, my red-eared sliders ate all our goldfish.
This was once they were big though.
